We install and service hydronic systems and gas heaters, and we service before winter rather than during it, because that is when parts are available and you are not waiting in a cold house.
Hydronic is quiet, even and expensive to install; ducted gas is cheaper up front and cheaper to retrofit. Which is right depends on the house, not on which one we would rather sell.
