Careers

We train our own, and we keep them

Most of our team came through our apprenticeship. If you are licensed, or want to be, we would rather hear from someone genuinely interested in the trade than someone with a CV full of firms they left.

Open roles

What we're hiring for

Licensed Plumber — Renovations

Full-time

Running bathroom and kitchen projects across bayside and inner-east Melbourne, with your own van and your own jobs.

You would be working on renovation projects from strip-out through to fit-off, mostly in period homes. It is careful work in occupied houses rather than volume new-build, so we are looking for someone who takes pride in a tidy site and can talk to a homeowner properly.

What you need

  • Current Victorian plumbing licence
  • Experience with domestic renovation work
  • Driver's licence and a clean record
  • Willingness to work in occupied homes and communicate with clients

What we offer

  • Fully maintained van, fuel card and tools
  • Above-award rate, reviewed annually
  • Gas licence sponsorship if you do not already hold one
  • Genuine 7am–5pm — we do not run an after-hours roster
  • Ongoing training and ticket renewals paid

Licensed Gas Fitter

Full-time

Hydronic installations, heater servicing and appliance work, with a strong run of winter heating projects.

Our heating side keeps growing and Steph needs a second pair of hands. The work is a mix of hydronic system installations, boiler commissioning and pre-winter servicing across our existing client base.

What you need

  • Current Victorian gas fitting licence
  • Type A appliance servicing experience preferred
  • Hydronic experience an advantage but not essential — we will train
  • Driver's licence

What we offer

  • Fully maintained van, fuel card and tools
  • Above-award rate, reviewed annually
  • Hydronic manufacturer training paid for
  • Predictable hours, no after-hours roster
  • A steady book of work rather than chasing leads

Apprentice Plumber (1st year)

Apprenticeship

A four-year apprenticeship with a firm that has trained apprentices for three generations.

We take on one or two apprentices a year and we keep them. You would start alongside our renovation crews, and we structure the four years so you see rough-in, fit-off, gas and drainage rather than spending three years digging trenches.

What you need

  • Genuine interest in the trade — no experience required
  • Reliable, on time, and prepared to learn
  • Driver's licence or working towards one
  • Able to get to Highett each morning

What we offer

  • Full four-year apprenticeship with TAFE fees paid
  • Tools supplied in first year
  • Structured rotation across renovation, gas and drainage work
  • Mentoring from tradespeople who have trained apprentices before
  • A job at the end of it — most of our team started here

The apprenticeship

We take one or two apprentices a year. The four years are structured so you rotate across renovation, gas and drainage rather than spending three years doing whatever is least skilled — and TAFE fees are paid. Most of our current tradespeople started here, including our renovations project manager.
